This blog was created following the first UPU-AFI workshop on financial inclusion and postal banking, in 2009.

Our aim is to promote continuous exchanges on the best financial inclusion practices through Posts. The postal network, with more than 660 000 post offices around the world, reaches the most remote areas of the developing world and the Universal Postal Union (UPU) wants to build on that strength to help the poor, in accordance with its mission and the Sustainable Development Goals. Our objective is to help unbanked and underbanked people worldwide to get access to affordable and easy-to-use financial services (savings, payments services, credit and insurance).

This blog contains most of the research that the UPU is producing in the field of postal financial inclusion. Feel free to react and provide comments on the pages of this site.
